Hands In: October 24th Tree Walk and Median Work Party on the Ainsworth Linear Arboretum

Written By Rebecca O'Neil

Please join us at a Concordia Tree Team event on Saturday, October 24th.

  • 10 am Tree walk with neighborhood tree steward Jim Gersbach.

Learn about the new trees Urban Forestry planted on the northern end of Alberta Park as well as the trees along the median. Find out makes these trees interesting and well adapted for our current climate.

  • 11am-1pm. Land Stewardship work party for the nature-scaped medians.

Meet at NE 22nd and Ainsworth. We’ll have some native plants to plant, paths to be raked, mulch spread… and one tree to plant. Bring hand tools if you have them.

Questions? Contact us.

Concordia Tree Team leads Mallory Pratt and Jim Gersbach lead a pruning clinic at the CLLA, October 2026.
