Tree Team shows up for Concordia Winter Celebration
[Actually by Autumn Voirol]
On January 8, 2026, the Concordia Neighborhood Association’s winter celebration was held on the University of Oregon’s campus, right in the heart of the Concordia neighborhood.
The University of Oregon’s library was a lovely venue for the event, with a separate room with a food buffet from local restaurant RJ Skillets. Volunteers served food, and a live local band called Julie and the Astronauts played music.
The Concordia Tree Team was set up in the lobby along with other non-profit and volunteer organizations, such as the Northeast Portland Tool Library.
Mallory Pratt and Lizzy Hildebrand presented with an excellent display and spoke to many neighbors, including college students. Well-attended and warm event — thank you Concordia Neighborhood Association! — and future tree adopters were secured.
