Summer Color Guided Walk

Tuscarora crepe myrtle

Take a self-guided walk to see trees with summer color!

Summer trees bloom with showy flowers starting from June into mid-September.

Most Portland trees are spring blooming, leaving few options for pollinators to find nectar during the long summer. This can be a lean time for bees and other pollinators. Planting summer-flowering trees can improve nectar availability beyond the peak April-May flowering time.

Tree icons on the interactive Linear Arboretum map are color coded to make it easier to zoom in on the ones that interest you. Find the summer color trees.
