Calling Watering Wizards! at the Concordia Garden Fair

Each summer the Concordia Tree Team waters trees all along the Ainsworth Linear Arboretum and the Concordia Learning Landscapes Arboretum that are not yet fully established and cannot withstand extended drought or heat.

The Team coordinates individuals on a weekly to monthly schedule to water with five gallon jugs or hose extensions from the school or neighbors to ensure that these trees can live for another year. Between July and September 2024, our register tallied 2,330 gallons of water hand-delivered to trees in need — and that only captured volunteers!

Tree Team members tabled at the Concordia Garden Fair in the Concordia Commons on Saturday March 15th in rain to make this pitch to our neighbors.

Autumn, Lizzie, Jordana, and Lori — we couldn’t do this without you.
